It’s Fair week!

August is here, and all that seems to be on our minds is back to school and the NW Montana Fair. The Northwest Montana Fair is arriving on August 18th and will run through the 22nd. The fair will operate daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. With the exception of Sunday, in which it will operate from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The commercial booths in the Grandstand building and outdoor booths open at 11 am for viewing and close at 9 pm.

Along with the carnival rides, the week will be fun-filled with events such as the Chris Janson concert, PRCA Pro Rodeo, and Big Air Bash.

Chris Janson brought to you by Toyota Concert Series will be bringing his talent to the fairgrounds on August 18th! Gates will open at 6 pm, and the show starts at 7:30. Chris Janson is a platinum-selling record artist and winner of Flathead’s Got Talent. Tickets are being sold at www.northwestmontanafair.com. Big Air Bash

Octane Addictions is an extreme motorsports company that is bringing a freestyle show with the best riders in the world to Kalispell, Montana, on Sunday, August 22nd. For this event, doors open at 5 pm, and the spectacular starts at 6 pm. Get your tickets at https://www.168tickets.com/section.php.

Beyond the events, there will be livestock showings, various contests, and many local craftsmen selling their art. Make sure to support our community and shop local. Large amounts of preparation is set out for this week of fun, and it sure goes to show!

I don’t know about you, but something that we genuinely enjoy when it comes to the fair is fair food. That being from caramel apples, warm funnel cakes topped with layers of powdered sugar, BBQ, and all the fixings, and that’s just the beginning.
